I go all in when it comes to fragrances for my living space and particularly in my bed. Having worked in the fragrance business for years I have quite the collection… aging collection. Fragrances don’t last forever, never hoard your smells, USE THEM!
When I fragrance my bed things it’s layered from the bare mattress to sheets to blankets, throws, shams and pillows. Everything gets a good layer of whatever I’ve found in my collection that seems nice for my mood. Mood, that’s the best way to explain how I choose my bedding fragrances.
I haven’t any particular scent or type or classification for what I use, I just simply go pick something. Realizing most people don’t have the luxury of having my collection you’ll want something that evokes good memories for you or calming or both.
What do I absolutely NOT have in my home? Fragrant shampoos, soaps, detergents or fabric softeners. I will go with a nice scented hand soap from time to time but generally I think most smells from detergents, etc. smell like urinal mints. I also don’t think the mixing of such smells with my luxury fragrances is the way to go, obviously. I do pride myself on not being too bougie with fragrances but the preceding I suppose leads you to believe otherwise.
