Hermès.
Every fragrance, verified.
Every Hermès fragrance I can document, from Eau de Victoria in 1944 to this season’s launches. For each one, you’ll see who created it, what’s inside and where you can still find it. Hermès keeps its great signatures on the shelf, but it has retired flankers and Hermessence scents along the way. When one leaves hermes.com, an Hermès boutique may still have a bottle. I check every launch year and perfumer against two independent sources, and I link to hermes.com wherever the house still sells it. Tap Own, Want or Sampled to save any of them to your Scent Wardrobe.
Read more in the Library: the Hermès house story, Jean-Claude Ellena and Edmond Roudnitska. For the materials and the wider story, see bergamot, neroli, iris, vetiver, leather and the History of Perfume. Every description is my own. When only one source confirms a fact, I mark it “single source” and credit that source. When sources disagree, I show you both and you can decide. See something I should correct? Tell me.
