Fragrance Catalog · House of Chanel

Chanel.
Every fragrance, verified.

Every Chanel fragrance I can document, from Ernest Beaux’s No. 5 in 1921 to this season’s launches. For each one, you’ll see who created it, what’s inside and where you can still find it. Chanel rarely lets a fragrance disappear. When one leaves chanel.com, it usually lives on at a Chanel boutique somewhere. I check every launch year and perfumer against two independent sources, and I link to chanel.com wherever the house still lists it. Tap Own, Want or Sampled to save any of them to your Scent Wardrobe.

Read more in the Library: Chanel, Ernest Beaux and Jacques Polge. For the materials and the wider story, see aldehydes, the chypre and the History of Perfume. Every description is my own. When only one source confirms a fact, I mark it “single source” and credit that source. When sources disagree, I show you both and you can decide. See something I should correct? Tell me.
